About the job

Key responsibilities:

A. On-ground project coordination:

1. Manage day-to-day operations and on-ground activities.
2. Coordinate with local women, workers, and production teams.
3. Ensure smooth workflow and timely execution of project activities.

B. Training and capacity building:

1. Organize and conduct training sessions for participating women.
2. Help workers understand production processes, product specifications, and quality standards.
3. Monitor progress and provide continuous guidance and support.

C. Product development and sampling:

1. Coordinate product development and preparation of samples.
2. Ensure samples meet the required quality and specifications.
3. Coordinate revisions and improvements until samples are approved and ready for production.

D. Sales and marketing:

1. Identify potential hotel clients and business opportunities.
2. Promote and market the products to hotels and hospitality businesses.
3. Build relationships with hotel procurement teams and decision-makers.
4. Coordinate product presentations, sampling, and follow-ups.

E. Reporting and stakeholder coordination:

1. Act as the primary link between the project team, workers, and the owners of Ekaa Villa.
2. Regularly communicate project progress, challenges, and requirements.
3. Share updates and reports on production, training, sampling, and sales.
4. Ensure alignment between project goals and on-ground execution.

Other requirements

1. 2 to 3 years of prior experience in project management, social enterprise initiatives, community-based manufacturing, skill development, or similar projects.

2. Experience working with grassroots communities, women-led initiatives, or small-scale production teams is preferred.

3. Good people-management and interpersonal skills.

4. Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

5. Basic working knowledge of English (fluency is not essential).

6. Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

7. A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to work directly with local workers and communities.

8. Interest in social impact, entrepreneurship, and the hospitality industry.
