Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Project Cost Controller to oversee financial discipline and cost management for offshore oil & gas projects involving platforms, risers, jackets, and pipelay operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate cost planning, effective monitoring, and timely revenue generation across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement cost planning aligned with project execution schedules.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring activities.
Evaluate offshore bids and contribute to cost and spread estimation.
Prepare comprehensive cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses.
Manage budget variances and support variation order claims.
Monitor project CAPEX, validate contractor invoices, track purchase orders, and align with revenue streams to avoid resource idling.
Administer change orders in compliance with project control procedures.
Stakeholder Collaboration The role requires close coordination with:
Project teams at site
Operations & strategy teams at office
Procurement teams
Finance teams
Candidate Profile
Experience: 12-15 years in project cost control for offshore oil & gas EPC projects
Education: Engineering and financial background aligned with the role requirements
Expertise:
Strong understanding of EPC, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of offshore projects
Proficiency in cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis
Ability to enforce financial discipline across complex project environments
