As a Project Auditor, you will audit the technical projects run by RChilli’s Development, QA, DevOps and Product teams. You will check that each project follows the defined processes, timelines, documentation standards and quality guidelines, and that teams deliver what was committed. You will point out gaps, risks and deviations early, and help teams fix them so projects run smoothly and stay audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Project Audits
Plan and run regular audits of ongoing and completed technical projects.
Check that projects follow the defined SDLC, Agile/Scrum practices and internal SOPs at every stage: requirements, design, development, testing, release and support.
Compare actual progress against project plans, milestones, sprint goals and deliverables.
Identify deviations, delays, scope changes and process gaps, and report them with supporting evidence.
Documentation and Artifact Review
Review project documents for completeness and accuracy, including requirement documents, technical specifications, test plans, test cases, release notes and user manuals.
Verify project artifacts in tools such as Jira, Git/GitHub and Confluence. This includes ticket status, sprint records, commit and pull request history, code review approvals, and test and deployment logs.
Make sure every change is traceable from requirement through development, testing and release.
Quality and Compliance Checks
Confirm that code review, QA sign-off and release approval steps are completed before deployment.
Monitor compliance with internal IT policies and standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 9001, including access control, data handling, backups and change management.
Maintain audit evidence so projects are ready for internal and external audits.
Reporting
Prepare clear project audit reports covering findings, risk level, root cause and recommendations.
Maintain audit checklists, trackers and dashboards in Excel or Google Sheets.
Share periodic project health summaries with Project Managers and department heads.
Follow-Up and Corrective Actions
Track corrective actions until they are closed and run follow-up audits to confirm they were put in place.
Help teams update project processes, templates and SOPs based on audit findings.
Collaboration
Work with Project Managers, developers, QA and DevOps teams to understand project workflows.
Communicate findings mainly in writing, through reports, Jira tickets and email, so that everything is documented and traceable.
