Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Senior Programmer Analyst to lead bioinformatics programming on clinical trial projects of moderate complexity. The role involves developing statistical programs, managing multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior programmers while supporting centralized monitoring and risk-based quality management initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead programming on selected moderately complex clinical trial studies, coordinating with project leads and client representatives
Create, execute, validate, and maintain programs for data transfer, integration, and report generation across multiple systems
Manage timelines and deliverables while ensuring quality and compliance with contractual requirements
Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to junior programming team members
Support department infrastructure activities including conference representation and developing training materials
Requirements
Master's degree in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or related field with 3+ years relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in related field with 5+ years relevant experience as alternative qualification
Proficiency in one or more programming languages, particularly SAS
Strong understanding of relational database structure and complex data systems
Experience with clinical trials data management and programming
Solid written and verbal English communication skills
Experience with Centralized Monitoring, RBQM, or clinical data analytics preferred
