GE HealthCare seeks a Principal Software Architect to define end-to-end architecture for the Digital and Device Software platforms across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role owns technology decisions, engineering standards, and security strategy while partnering with leadership to translate product vision into scalable, executable roadmaps.
Responsibilities
Serve as architecture authority for EchoViewer and own major architecture decisions across product lifecycle
Define end-to-end architecture for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployment models
Establish architecture principles, reference architectures, design patterns, and technical guardrails
Drive interoperability using healthcare standards including DICOM, HL7, and FHIR
Partner with Engineering and Systems leadership to translate architecture into technical roadmaps and release plans
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
Extensive experience as Software Architect, Principal Architect, or equivalent senior technical leader
Proven track record architecting and releasing complex commercial digital products on-premises and cloud
Deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud services, APIs, data architecture, and integration patterns
Strong experience defining technology stacks and architecture standards for large organizations
Demonstrated expertise in product cybersecurity and secure architecture principles
Ability to influence leaders across organizational and geographical boundaries
