Principal Programmer Analyst role at Thermo Fisher Scientific leading statistical and bioinformatics programming for clinical trials. The position involves project oversight, team leadership, process improvements, and client interactions across multiple drug programs and studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead programmer or project lead on clinical trials of varying complexity and scale
• Conduct team meetings, develop project timelines, manage resources and budgets
• Suggest and implement process improvements and tools for programming efficiencies
• Represent department to clients, regulatory agencies, and at industry conferences
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to junior team members

Requirements

• MS/MA in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics or related field plus 6+ years experience
• Strong SAS programming skills and database structure expertise
• Knowledge of clinical trials, ICH guidelines, GCP, and regulatory submission requirements
• Excellent project management, written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring capabilities, and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of statistical principles in clinical trial design and analysis
