Key Responsibilities

• Design AIS/GIS substations up to EHV voltage levels .

• Prepare primary engineering drawings including layouts, sections, equipment arrangement and cable routing .

• Perform grounding/earthing and lightning protection design.

• Prepare and review equipment specifications, BOMs and RFQs .

• Review vendor technical offers and engineering documents .

• Ensure designs comply with applicable IEC and IEEE standards .

• Prepare/review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit .

• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, vendors and customers for technical requirements and design reviews.

Required Skills

• 8–12 years of relevant Substation Primary Design experience.

• Strong experience in AIS/GIS substation design .

• Exposure to EHV/HV substations .

• Hands-on knowledge of:

  • Primary equipment layout

  • Section/elevation drawings

  • Earthing/grounding

  • Lightning protection

  • Cable routing

  • Equipment specifications

  • BOM/RFQ preparation

  • Vendor offer evaluation

• Good knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards .

• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit .

• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with strong HV/EHV AIS/GIS substation primary engineering and design experience will be preferred. Experience in utility, EPC, or power transmission projects is an advantage.
