Sartorius seeks a PLC software engineer in Bangalore to develop software-enabled products for pharmaceutical and biotech applications. The role involves collaborating across teams to design, build, test, and document PLC-based solutions while ensuring system integration and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to define software requirements and updates
• Develop and prototype sustainable software systems with focus on design and reengineering strategies
• Write clean, maintainable code emphasizing performance and memory efficiency
• Conduct unit testing and develop automated testing solutions for software reliability
• Support technical teams with expert guidance on system integration and problem-solving

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or equivalent with substantial professional experience
• 7+ years of project experience with Siemens TIA Portal and STEP 7 programming
• Proficiency in Structured Control Language (SCL) and S7-1500 series PLC models
• Proven experience interfacing PLC systems with SCADA systems
• Fluent English communication skills
• Knowledge of Java, C++, C#, or .NET development beneficial; TIA Openness integration experience advantageous
