Platform Engineer - Enterprise Golden Paths & Automated Governance in Chennai, भारत

AstraZeneca seeks a Platform Engineer to design and build enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code modules, and automation frameworks that embed security and compliance across global engineering teams. The role focuses on creating reusable, secure delivery patterns and developer tooling while driving adoption across hundreds of engineers in an R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise GitHub Actions, composite actions, and reusable workflows as secure golden paths
• Develop and maintain modular Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code assets for broad reuse
• Integrate security controls (SAST, DAST, SCA, SBOM) into default delivery workflows through automation
• Create scalable CI/CD patterns aligned to enterprise standards with least privilege and policy-as-code guardrails
• Build automation services and developer tooling enabling self-service onboarding and consistent quality checks

Requirements

• 6+ years platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevSecOps, or related technical discipline
• Hands-on experience authoring and maintaining centralized GitHub Actions and reusable workflows
• Advanced Terraform expertise and infrastructure-as-code design capabilities
• Strong AWS knowledge including compute, networking, security, and serverless services
• Proficiency in Python or Golang for automation and tooling development
• Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles: SAST, DAST, SCA, SBOM, supply chain security
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
