Packaging Engineer II at Zimmer Biomet is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing medical device packaging solutions. The role involves cross-functional project work, testing coordination, prototype development, and regulatory documentation in a hybrid setup in Bangalore.
Responsibilities
Execute medical device packaging design and development within multi-disciplinary project teams
Conduct and own testing activities to support packaging projects and generate test protocols
Create prototype models to evaluate design concepts and coordinate evaluations with internal/external customers
Lead design control documentation and prepare regulatory submission materials
Manage small-scale packaging development projects with lower technical complexity
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related engineering discipline
2–5 years of packaging engineering experience, including regulated product development
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and Excel
Knowledge of FDA and EU MDR medical packaging regulatory requirements and standards
Understanding of packaging design, development, and validation processes
Familiarity with packaging materials, material processes, and drafting standards
