If you have a flair for hospitality, a sharp eye for detail, and a love for bringing people together — we want to hear from you!

About the Role

As a Catering & Events Associate at Swiss Re, you will be at the heart of our workplace experience, delivering world-class food & beverage services and orchestrating seamless corporate events. From strategic planning to hands-on execution, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the day-to-day hospitality experience for our employees and guests in Hyderabad. This is your opportunity to combine your passion for food, events, and people into a role that truly makes an impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion sustainable gastronomy practices, driving initiatives that align with our environmental and organizational objectives

  • Plan and manage end-to-end corporate events, including developing event plans, timelines, and conducting venue inspections and evaluations

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors — including kitchen staff, caterers, decorators, and audiovisual providers — to ensure timely and flawless service delivery

  • Ensure full compliance with ISO 22000 and all applicable food safety, health & safety regulations, licensing, tax obligations, and labour laws

  • Organise FOSTAC training for all food handlers and manage Background Verification documentation

  • Create and manage budgets, track financial performance, analyse trends, and prepare regular financial and dashboard reports

  • Build and nurture strong vendor and partner relationships, negotiating contracts and establishing KPIs to ensure cost-effectiveness and service excellence

  • Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation and streamlining operations to enhance efficiency and overall experience

  • Gather and act on feedback from employees and guests to continuously elevate the hospitality and events experience

  • Lead and develop contract staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in catering, sustainable gastronomy, and event management

About the Team

The Corporate Real Estate and Services (CRES) team is on a mission to create and sustain a world-class office environment that aligns with Swiss Re's strategic vision and goals. Our diverse team of experts spans real estate, security, facilities management, and hospitality operations — working collaboratively to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that make a real difference.

You bring a solution-focused mindset, a genuine passion for customer service, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with grace. You thrive in dynamic environments, build strong relationships effortlessly, and are always looking for smarter, better ways to deliver exceptional experiences.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in catering, food & beverage management or a related corporate role, with demonstrated experience managing large teams

  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including ISO 22000 standards, and experience implementing and enforcing safe food handling procedures

  • Proven budget management and financial analysis skills, with the ability to create, oversee, and report on budgets and financial performance

  • Experience in vendor and contract management, including negotiating contracts and managing relationships with external partners and suppliers

  • Proficiency in event planning and execution, including developing event plans, timelines, and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and leadership skills — the ability to take responsibility for outcomes, lead by example, and drive results even in ambiguous or challenging situations

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field

  • Certifications such as ServSafe Food Handler or similar food safety credentials

  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or equivalent event management certification

  • Proficiency in preparing dashboards and data reports for consumption and budget tracking

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and the local language
