Role Overview
We are looking for a Motion Graphics Associate to produce high-impact, performance-driven video advertisements. In this role, you will bridge generative AI tools and traditional motion design. You will take AI-generated visual base layers (video, image assets, textures, and 3D plates) and transform them into polished, commercially ready ads through advanced compositing, kinetic typography, pacing, color science, and visual effects.
The ideal candidate understands both the speed of modern AI workflows and the technical precision required for brand-grade animation.
Responsibilities
Motion Design & Post-Production
Compositing & Polish: Take raw, AI-generated foundational video clips/stills and eliminate artifacts, fix temporal inconsistencies, blend multiple generations, and seamlessly integrate graphic layers.
Kinetic Typography & Graphic Overlays: Design clear, attention-grabbing on-screen text animations, UI mockups, lower thirds, callouts, and end cards that drive conversion across digital platforms.
Pacing & Hook Optimization: Edit raw footage with an emphasis on performance marketing hooking viewers within the first 2 seconds and sustaining momentum throughout 15s, 30s, and 60s formats.
Color Grading & Finishing: Match color profiles, grain, and lighting across disparate AI-generated elements to ensure a unified, premium visual aesthetic.
Audio Synchronization: Source, cut, and sync sound effects (SFX), background music, and voiceovers to match motion beats with maximum punch.
AI Tool Integration & Iteration
Collaborate with creative strategists to define generative asset prompts and parameters using image/video models (e.g., Midjourney, Runway, Luma, Kling, Sora, or Stable Video Diffusion).
Rapidly iterate on creative hooks, variations, and localization formats to support iterative A/B testing campaigns.
Establish repeatable workflow pipelines between generative asset generators and compositing software.
Key Qualifications
Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in motion graphics, post-production, or creative agency environments.
Core Software Mastery:
Adobe After Effects (advanced keyframing, tracking, shape layers, expressions).
Premiere Pro (or DaVinci Resolve) for rapid video cutting, timeline assembly, and audio sync.
Photoshop / Illustrator for asset extraction, masking, and prep.
Generative AI Familiarity: Hands-on exposure to prompt-driven image/video generation tools (Midjourney, Runway Gen-2/Gen-3, Kling, Luma Dream Machine, Pika, or equivalent). You do not need to build models, but you must know how to steer and refine AI output.
Visual Taste & Standards: Strong eye for framing, depth, physics, typography hierarchy, and rhythm. A keen sense for identifying and repairing "uncanny" or defective AI artifacts (hands, morphing textures, inconsistent lighting).
Format Fluency: Deep understanding of platform-native formats and best practices across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Meta Feed, and paid display networks.
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of tracking and rotoscoping plugins (Mocha Pro, lockdown tools, or native depth passes).
Familiarity with node-based compositing or 3D software (Blender, Cinema 4D) to composite 3D passes over generative backgrounds.
Basic understanding of performance marketing metrics (CTR, thumbstop rate, ROAS) and how visual hooks impact them.
Deliverables & Performance Metrics
Production Output: high-converting video variants and cutdowns.
Visual Quality: Minimal visual AI degradation, accurate brand alignment, and crisp graphic elements across all device resolutions.
Turnaround Speed: Ability to spin up new creative hooks and visual adaptations from existing base layers within 24-48 hours.
