About the job

We're looking for a developer who loves building beautiful, fast apps across mobile and desktop, and shipping them quickly. You'll own features end-to-end, from UI design through to release on the App Store, Play Store, and desktop, and you'll use modern AI tools and LLMs to work faster and build smarter products. If you care about pixel-perfect interfaces, move quickly without breaking things, and are excited about AI-powered experiences, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build and ship high-quality mobile apps for iOS and Android using React Native (with Expo), Flutter, and/or native Swift.
2. Use the Expo ecosystem (Expo Router, EAS Build, EAS Submit, EAS Update) to develop, build, and ship quickly, including over-the-air updates.
3. Turn Figma designs into polished, responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces with smooth animations and interactions.
4. Integrate LLMs (e.g. GPT-5, Claude Opus, Claude Sonnet) into app features such as chat, content generation, summarisation, and intelligent search.
5. Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to speed up prototyping, debugging, and iteration.
6. Connect apps to REST/GraphQL APIs, backends such as Firebase or Supabase, and third-party SDKs.
7. Optimise app performance, load times, and battery and memory usage.
8. Manage builds, testing, and releases to the App Store, Google Play, Mac App Store, and direct desktop distribution (code signing, notarisation, auto-updates).
9. Work closely with product and design to go from idea to shipped feature in days, not months.

Who can apply?

1. Have hands-on experience building mobile and/or desktop apps with React Native, Flutter, Swift, Electron, or Tauri (personal, freelance, or professional projects all count).
2. Have at least one live app on the App Store, Play Store, or available for desktop download, or a strong portfolio or GitHub of projects.
3. Have practical experience using or integrating LLMs such as GPT-5, Claude Opus, or Sonnet, whether in products or in their development workflow.
4. Have a strong eye for UI: clean layouts, typography, spacing, and smooth micro-interactions.
5. Are known for shipping fast and iterating based on feedback.
6. Are available to start immediately and can commit for the full duration.

3. Experience with Rust (for Tauri) or C#/.NET for Windows apps.

4. Experience packaging and distributing desktop apps (DMG, MSI, auto-update frameworks like Sparkle or electron-updater).

5. Familiarity with streaming LLM responses, RAG, or on-device AI (Core ML, TensorFlow Lite).

6. Experience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, Riverpod, Bloc).

7. Experience with CI/CD for mobile and desktop (Fastlane, Codemagic, EAS, GitHub Actions).
