GE HealthCare seeks a Mechanical Architect to lead design and technology strategy for diagnostic cardiology products. This role involves providing technical leadership to mechanical engineering teams, driving innovation in product development, and ensuring cost-effective, manufacturable solutions that meet regulatory and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop and drive mechanical technology roadmap for premium ECG products aligned with business strategy
Provide technical leadership for new product introduction, advanced development, and cost productivity initiatives
Own mechanical architecture and detailed design from concept through commercial release
Lead cross-functional product development across systems, electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams
Mentor and develop engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and capability-building opportunities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred
12+ years leading design and development of systems with plastic, casting, and sheet-metal components
Expert-level proficiency in CAD tools, preferably Creo, for 3D modeling and GD&T
Strong hands-on experience with FEA, structural simulation, and thermal analysis
Proven expertise in reliability engineering, DFMEA, and failure analysis methodologies
Deep knowledge of medical device development and IEC 60601 standards
Demonstrated technical leadership in regulated medical device environments
