Stryker seeks an experienced Manager of Embedded Systems Development & Testing to lead engineering teams designing and validating embedded software for medical devices. The role combines technical leadership in firmware architecture, system integration, and testing with people management, team building, and cross-functional collaboration across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage embedded systems development and testing teams for medical device products
• Define engineering strategies, technical direction, and execution plans across software, firmware, and system integration
• Establish verification methodologies, automated testing approaches, and test automation strategies for embedded systems
• Ensure compliance with medical device standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 60601) and regulatory requirements
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing embedded engineering teams while managing performance and career growth

Requirements

• 13-16 years embedded systems experience with 5+ years people management or technical leadership
• Strong embedded architecture and system design knowledge including software, hardware, RTOS, and interfaces
• Proven experience leading teams through complete product development from requirements to release
• Deep understanding of verification, testing, quality, risk management, and regulated product development
• Strong people leadership, mentoring, cross-functional influence, and project execution capabilities
• Medical device, safety-critical, or regulated product development experience preferred
