About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop and train robot learning models using Python and PyTorch, including Imitation Learning, Behavior Cloning (BC), and VLA approaches.
2. Prepare and curate training datasets by aligning robot observations and actions, temporal windows, normalization, and embodiment/action compatibility.
3. Build reproducible dataset selection and evaluation pipelines using SQL, Arrow/Parquet, and immutable dataset snapshots.
4. Establish dataset-to-model lineage, linking training datasets with checkpoints and experiment configurations.
5. Design rigorous evaluation protocols using held-out datasets, leakage prevention, reproducible seeds, baselines, and failure analysis.
6. Evaluate robot policies through simulation-based rollouts, task resets, success criteria, and performance metrics.
7. Analyze model failures and uncertainty to identify areas for improvement in robot learning systems.
8. Manage training and evaluation workloads using containers, GPU/compute infrastructure, experiment tracking, and model checkpoints.
9. Develop reproducible ML workflows so that training and evaluation results can be consistently recreated.
10. Work with AI agents and agentic workflows to support dataset selection, experimentation, evaluation, and analysis.
11. Collaborate with robotics and engineering teams to improve policy performance, data quality, and evaluation reliability.
12. Maintain clear documentation of datasets, experiments, checkpoints, evaluation results, and model lineage.
