We are seeking licensed professional counselors to author and evaluate counseling scenarios used to assess and improve advanced AI models.
In this role, you will apply your professional counseling expertise to create realistic clinical scenarios, develop reference responses, and evaluate AI-generated outputs for clinical accuracy, ethical reasoning, and appropriate risk handling.
This opportunity is designed for practicing counseling professionals who can translate real-world clinical judgment into clear, structured written reasoning.
Author realistic counseling scenarios, including complex risk and ethical dilemmas.
Write reference responses that clearly explain the therapeutic reasoning behind each clinical choice.
Evaluate AI-generated counseling responses for clinical accuracy, ethical standards, and appropriate risk handling.
Identify responses that appear empathetic but fail to appropriately recognize or manage clinical risk.
Clearly explain why a response is clinically appropriate, inappropriate, incomplete, or unsafe.
Apply professional counseling judgment consistently when reviewing and grading model outputs.
Your work may involve assessing AI responses across areas such as:
Clinical accuracy
Treatment planning
Safety assessment
Risk recognition and handling
Ethical decision-making
Evidence-based counseling approaches
Therapeutic reasoning
Appropriate clinical communication
Recognition of potentially unsafe or misleading guidance
Active, unencumbered LPC or LMHC license in the United States .
2+ years of counseling practice after licensure .
Professional experience with treatment planning and safety assessment.
Experience applying evidence-based counseling modalities.
Strong written English and the ability to communicate clinical reasoning clearly.
Ability to commit to at least 10 hours per week .
Specialized experience in one or more of the following:
Trauma
Substance use
Couples counseling
Adolescent counseling
Crisis line or community mental health experience.
Clinical supervision experience.
Counselor education experience.
$65–$100/hour , paid weekly via Stripe.
Annualized Equivalent: $135,200–$208,000/year based on 40 hours/week.
Your rate is determined by your professional experience and is not reduced after you begin.
Fully remote and fully asynchronous.
No fixed working hours.
Minimum 10 hours per week , with no maximum.
Ability to scale your hours up or down from week to week.
No screen recording.
No keystroke monitoring.
No idle timers.
Independent contractor engagement.
Ongoing project work rather than one-off task batches.
