Founded in 2015, Rapido is India's leading multi-modal mobility platform. What began with bike taxis has rapidly evolved to include auto-rickshaws, cab-hailing, and peer-to-peer deliveries. Today, Rapido commands a dominant 70% market share in bike taxis, 40% in auto rides, and holds the second-largest position in the cab segment with a 22% share—establishing us as the overall market leader in ride-hailing. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced resource to lead business-oriented legal advisory, oversee the drafting, negotiation, and management of contracts across various functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with legal requirements, mitigate risks, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Business-Oriented Legal Advisory
Translate business requirements into legally compliant and commercially workable solutions.
Evaluate different legal and commercial structures and recommend the most appropriate approach based on risk, cost, operational feasibility and business objectives.
Take a risk-based approach to legal advice, distinguishing between critical legal risks and risks that can be appropriately mitigated or commercially accepted.
Contract Drafting and Negotiation
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Research and interpret applicable laws, rules, regulations, notifications, judicial precedents and regulatory developments relevant to the business.
Assess the impact of new or evolving laws on existing and proposed business practices.
Work with business teams to develop implementation mechanisms that ensure compliance without creating unnecessary operational friction.
Monitor regulatory developments and proactively communicate material changes and their business implications.
Bachelor's degree in law with 5+ Years of experience
Detail-oriented and experienced in legal advisory.
Experience in multi-modal mobility platforms.
Understanding of regulatory compliance in the transportation sector.
