GE HealthCare seeks a Lead Systems Designer to provide technical leadership for the architecture, reliability, and lifecycle evolution of deployed IoMT medical device products. This senior role drives system strategy, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration while mentoring engineering teams and investigating complex customer issues.
Responsibilities
Lead system architecture, design, and technical strategy for the installed product portfolio
Drive investigations of customer, field, quality, and cybersecurity issues with root cause analysis
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into robust system solutions
Ensure compliance with QMS, Design Control, Risk Management, and regulatory requirements
Mentor engineering teams on systems engineering practices and design integration
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or STEM discipline
10+ years of industry experience in software, systems engineering, or product development
3+ years of experience in MedTech or regulated product development
Expertise in Systems Engineering, System Architecture, QMS, Design Controls, and Risk Management
Demonstrated experience leading customer investigations, CAPA, change management, and cross-functional initiatives
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical mentoring skills
Ability to influence across organizations and lead without direct authority
