Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair analytical instruments across India. The role involves customer support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and field training on sophisticated laboratory equipment in research and industrial settings.
Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs on XRF, OES, and Process analyzers across India
Support installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting at customer sites with remote support as needed
Deliver equipment demonstrations and training to customers on safe and effective use
Complete detailed service reports after each customer visit and respond to urgent service requests
Travel as directed to provide on-site customer support and maintain satisfaction goals
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical engineering
Advanced degree with no prior experience, or bachelor's degree plus 2 years hands-on technical experience
Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills to component level
Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software
Ability to read technical documentation and schematics
English proficiency required; additional languages beneficial
