Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Lead Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair advanced analytical instruments across India. The role involves on-site customer support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical demonstrations for XRF/OES/Process analyzers in research, industrial, and healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on XRF/OES/Process analyzers across India
• Support analyzer installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting at customer sites; provide remote support as needed
• Conduct equipment demonstrations and training to ensure safe and effective customer use
• Document service activities and prepare detailed reports following each customer visit
• Travel as directed to deliver on-site customer service and meet business objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical engineering
• 2+ years hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex analytical instruments
• Advanced electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills to component level
• Strong customer service and written/verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software
• Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and work independently
• Fluent English; additional languages advantageous; relevant certifications beneficial
