Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Lead Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair advanced analytical instruments across India. The role involves on-site customer support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical demonstrations for XRF/OES/Process analyzers in research, industrial, and healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on XRF/OES/Process analyzers across India
Support analyzer installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting at customer sites; provide remote support as needed
Conduct equipment demonstrations and training to ensure safe and effective customer use
Document service activities and prepare detailed reports following each customer visit
Travel as directed to deliver on-site customer service and meet business objectives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical engineering
2+ years hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex analytical instruments
Advanced electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills to component level
Strong customer service and written/verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software
Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and work independently
Fluent English; additional languages advantageous; relevant certifications beneficial
