Job Summary: We are looking for a Network Engineer – L1 to provide first-level network support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. The candidate should have hands-on experience in routing and switching technologies and possess a strong understanding of network protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L1 support for enterprise network infrastructure.
Monitor network devices, links, and connectivity using monitoring tools.
Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and performance issues.
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Routers and Switches .
Hands-on experience with Routing & Switching .
Working knowledge of OSPF, BGP and VTP .
Troubleshoot VLAN, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, and inter-VLAN routing issues.
Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of IP addressing and subnetting.
Handle incidents, service requests, and network-related tickets within defined SLAs.
Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams when required.
Maintain network documentation and troubleshooting records.
Perform basic network device health checks and preventive monitoring.
Mandatory Skills:
CCNA or CCNP certification – Mandatory.
Hands-on experience in Routing & Switching .
Practical experience with OSPF .
Basic to working-level knowledge of BGP .
Hands-on/working knowledge of VTP, VLAN, STP and Trunking .
Good understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting and networking fundamentals.
