Junior Accountant in Chennai, भारत

We are looking for a Junior Accountant with 3–4 years of experience to manage day-to-day accounting activities for a real estate company. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Tally, GST, TDS, reconciliations, bookkeeping, and maintaining accurate financial records. Prior experience in the real estate or construction industry will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain books of accounts.
  
• Record receipts, payments, purchases, sales, expenses, and journal entries in Tally.
  
• Maintain and reconcile ledgers and bank accounts.
  
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  
• Prepare invoices, vouchers, debit notes, and credit notes.
  
• Assist in GST calculation, reconciliation, and return filing.
  
• Handle TDS-related accounting and compliance activities.
  
• Prepare trial balance and assist in monthly financial closing.
  
• Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.
  
• Prepare MIS and other reports as required by management.
  
• Assist with audits and provide required financial documents.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities.

• 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  
• Good hands-on knowledge of Tally Prime.
  
• Working knowledge of GST and TDS.
  
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  
• Experience in bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
  
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Good communication and coordination skills.
  
• Real estate / construction industry experience is preferred.
