Eurofins seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Java Architect to lead enterprise system delivery within the eLIMS-Forensics programme. Responsibilities
Own architecture and development of enterprise Java applications across client and server components
Provide technical guidance and design leadership to distributed development teams
Support modernization and evolution of legacy forensic systems with modularization strategies
Design and optimize backend services, data models, and CI/CD pipelines for scalability and performance
Collaborate across product, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to ensure robust, compliant solutions
Requirements
Bachelor's in Engineering or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent
10+ years enterprise Java development and DevOps experience
Proficiency in Java 11/17, Java EE/Jakarta EE, PostgreSQL, WildFly
Expertise in Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and JPA/Hibernate
Strong architecture design and object-oriented development skills
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, Docker, Maven, CI/CD pipelines
Proven background in regulated or complex operational environments
