Technical Project Manager – VoIP / Telecom
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with hands-on VoIP development background to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of telecom and VoIP projects. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, own project timelines, communicate directly with international clients, and ensure projects ship on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high quality standards. We value people who take initiative, work smart with modern AI and project-management tools, and drive delivery without needing to be pushed.
Manage end-to-end VoIP implementation projects from initiation through deployment and post-implementation support.
Prepare project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with Development, QA, DevOps, Support, and Infrastructure teams.
Run project kickoffs, status meetings, and client review meetings.
Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
Manage scope changes and maintain clear project documentation, reports, and dashboards.
Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production rollout.
Ensure successful deployment and customer acceptance.
Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and management.
Ensure compliance with organisational quality standards and project methodologies.
Support pre-sales with effort estimation and project planning.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate requirement analysis, documentation, estimation, and reporting.
Hands-on development experience in VoIP/telecom (e.g. FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, Kamailio) — practical, build-level experience, not just conceptual familiarity.
Strong understanding of VoIP technologies and telecom architecture: Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Comfortable using AI-assisted and project-management tools to work efficiently.
Comfortable navigating Linux servers.
Basic networking awareness (TCP/IP, NAT, firewalls).
Nice to have: exposure to a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and REST API integrations.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM certification preferred.
Experience
6–7 years of overall IT experience.
Minimum 3 years in a project management role.
Prior hands-on VoIP/telecom development experience before moving into project management.
Proven experience managing VoIP or telecom software projects.
Experience working with international clients (UK, US, Europe, or Middle East) preferred.
Strong leadership and team management.
Time management and multitasking.
