The role involves validating application functionality, testing ETL pipelines and data transformations, and ensuring data accuracy across enterprise databases and data https://jobeax.com/link/tlplQAnK5B36KMXq Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases to validate application functionality and business requirements.- Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts and frameworks, preferably using Playwright.- Design and execute test cases to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.- Perform backend and data validation using complex SQL queries to verify data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity.- Write, optimize, and execute SQL queries for data reconciliation, transformation validation, and database testing.- Validate data pipelines, source-to-target mappings, business rules, and data transformation logic.- Test applications and data workflows across relational databases, data warehouses, and modern data platforms.- Identify, document, report, and track defects through their lifecycle, coordinating with development and data engineering teams for resolution.- Analyze test failures, perform root-cause investigation, and support defect resolution and regression testing.- Clarify requirements with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.- Participate in project meetings, test planning, requirement discussions, and quality reviews.- Maintain test documentation, test data, execution results, defect reports, and automation scripts.- Collaborate with distributed teams and be available for discussions during US Eastern Time (EST/ET) working hours, as https://jobeax.com/link/0XodNN5dLVwUz2NN Skills & Experience:- 6 - 10 years of experience in software testing, test automation, data testing, or quality engineering.- Strong hands-on experience with Python programming and automation scripting.- Experience with Python-based test automation frameworks, preferably Playwright.- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, aggregations, and query optimization.- Hands-on experience in data testing, backend testing, and ETL validation.- Good understanding of data extraction, transformation, loading, data reconciliation, and source-to-target validation.- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and data processing workflows.- Experience working with one or more database or data platforms such as Oracle, Denodo, Azure Databricks, or SQL Server.- Experience designing test scenarios, executing test cases, managing defects, and performing regression testing.- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.- Flexibility to support discussions during US Eastern Time working hours, as required.
