Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Teppanyaki Chef at ITC Gardenia, for our Speciality Japanese outlet. The Teppanyaki Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking teppanyaki dishes in front of guests, ensuring high-quality food presentation and taste. Day-to-day tasks include ingredient preparation, maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards, interacting with guests to enhance their dining experience, and collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Expertise in Teppanyaki cooking techniques, grilling, and knife skills
Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations
Strong customer interaction and communication skills
Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in food preparation
Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
Previous experience as a Teppanyaki Chef or in a similar role is preferred
Culinary school diploma or degree in culinary arts is desirable
