Build an engineering organization capable of developing Loom-owned hybrid inverter and BESS products that are:
Primary objective: Build Loom's core power-electronics IP rather than remaining dependent on OEM products.
Own architecture for:
Define:
PV → Inverter → Battery → Grid → Load → EV
system architecture.
Lead development of:
Key engineering areas:
Develop scalable BESS platforms from residential to commercial applications.
Responsibilities include:
Experience with LFP chemistry and large-format battery systems is highly desirable.
Build or manage development of an intelligent BMS capable of:
Develop EMS capabilities for:
The inverter/BESS should become a connected energy platform , not merely hardware.
Lead integration of:
Target architecture:
Device → Gateway → Cloud → App → Analytics → AI
Own the complete NPD process:
Market requirement → Product specification → Architecture → Simulation → Prototype → EVT → DVT → PVT → Certification → Mass production → Field validation
Establish engineering gates for:
Build an internal validation laboratory covering:
The engineering head will be accountable for field failure rate and product reliability .
Lead product certification and compliance for relevant Indian and international standards, including applicable:
Experience with certification laboratories and regulatory authorities is strongly preferred.
Work closely with:

Design → Prototype → Pilot → Mass Production
Responsibilities include:
The leader must build products that can compete with Chinese and Indian manufacturers.

Experience with companies/products involving:
Experience working with Indian and Chinese engineering/manufacturing ecosystems would be a major advantage.
This is not a conventional R&D manager role .
The person must be able to:
Think like a CTO + engineer + product manager + manufacturing leader.
They must be comfortable moving between:
Customer → Product → Circuit → Firmware → Prototype → Factory → Certification → Field
and personally solve critical engineering problems.
