GE HealthCare seeks an Electronics Verification & Validation Engineer to conduct hardware testing, system verification, and validation for handheld ultrasound systems. The role involves executing reliability tests, image quality assessments, battery validation, and defect investigation within a regulated medical device environment.
Responsibilities
Execute product-level verification and validation activities for ultrasound systems
Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, procedures, and verification protocols
Plan and perform reliability testing including thermal, burn-in, lifecycle, and environmental testing
Perform ultrasound image quality validation using industry-standard phantoms
Develop and maintain test jigs, fixtures, and automated test setups for improved efficiency
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
3–5 years of product verification, validation, or test engineering experience
Strong understanding of hardware and embedded system testing methodologies
Experience with reliability testing, burn-in testing, and qualification testing
Hands-on proficiency with oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, and data acquisition systems
Experience documenting requirements and test cases using tools like Jama
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills
