About Us

Jar is India’s leading Daily Saving app that helps people build strong saving habits—one small step at a time. Our goal is to make saving simple, rewarding, and truly life-changing. Founded in 2021 by Misbah Ashraf and Nishchay AG, Jar is a Bengaluru-based startup with one simple belief: saving a little every day in 24K Digital Gold can truly transform your future.

Today, 20 million+ Indians trust Jar as their saving partner. With flexible saving options—Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Instant Saving—we have made it easy for everyone to save in their own way and withdraw anytime. We are one of the leaders in UPI autopay transactions, crossing more than 1 million transactions per day. In 2023, we expanded our vision with Nek, our jewelry brand crafted to bring together luxury and affordability, it has since surpassed ₹100 crore in revenue.

We have a big dream of bringing “Har Ghar Sona”. Small, consistent savings are just the start. We’re here to walk alongside our users, helping Indians secure their financial future every step of the way.

Backed by Tiger Global Management, Arkam Ventures, and WEH Ventures, among others, we have raised $50 million+ in funding. In January 2025, we hit a huge milestone of becoming profitable. Now, we’re charging ahead, focused on sustainable growth and scaling impact.

And this is just the beginning!

What’s the role?

Jar's gold savings business is the core of the company. It serves first-time digital savers, largely outside the metros, and it moves real money every day. We are looking for a Growth Lead to own it end to end.

This is a P&L-shaped role rather than a channel-shaped one. You will own gold GMV and every input that produces it: activating new savers, increasing the frequency and ticket size of existing ones, retaining them, winning back the ones who have gone quiet, and expanding them into adjacent products. The measure of success is a durable change in the slope of the business, not a good quarter.

The distinction that matters most to us is how you get there. We are looking for someone who drives growth primarily through product, and uses campaigns, lifecycle and comms to amplify what the product has already earned. Teams that lean on discounting and notification volume can hold a number for a quarter. They cannot compound. You will have a cross-functional pod of product managers, growth managers, analysts and lifecycle owners to do this properly, and you will own the roadmap that directs them.

You will report to the VP of Growth who currently holds this scope alongside Jar's jewellery vertical and new business lines. You will be reviewed on the business and its narrative, not on individual projects.

What will be your responsibilities?

Own the GMV equation

  • Decompose gold GMV into its constituent inputs and maintain a clear point of view on which input is binding in any given quarter.
  • Set the roadmap and sequencing across activation, frequency, retention, win-back and cross-sell, and defend the trade-offs between them.
  • Carry the number. Report performance and the reasoning behind it directly to leadership.

Grow revenue per user

  • Increase transaction frequency and ticket size through changes to the saving experience: habit loops, goals, streaks, visible progress, and the moments that bring a user back unprompted.
  • Identify and close leakage across the transactional spine - accumulation flows, autopay, withdrawals and liquidation, pricing, rewards and refunds.
  • Build the cross-sell and upsell path into Jar's wider surface without cannibalising core saving behaviour.

Retain and win back

  • Own retention as a product problem. Diagnose why cohorts decay and fix the reasons, rather than managing the symptom through lifecycle messaging.
  • Segment dormant and churned users by cause of departure and build differentiated win-back paths for each.

Drive experimentation

  • Design and run a high-throughput experiment programme with clear hypotheses, adequate power, and honest read-outs.
  • Make kill decisions quickly and document what was learned. Protect the team from shipping things that tested flat.

Lead the pod

  • Manage and grow a cross-functional team of product managers, growth managers, analysts and lifecycle owners.
  • Set the hiring bar for your team and make the selection calls.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, data and marketing to get work shipped on pace.

Operate the business

  • Maintain the instrumentation and dashboards needed to know the state of the business without being told.
  • Respond to breakages in a live money product with appropriate urgency, and close the detection gaps that allowed them to go unnoticed.

What’s required from you?

  • 7+ years in consumer growth, product or monetisation roles, including at least 2 years managing a team or a pod.
  • Demonstrable ownership of a revenue or GMV number, with the ability to speak precisely about what you moved and how.
  • A track record of product-led growth. You should be able to walk through a product change you shipped that durably moved a retention or frequency metric, and explain why it worked.
  • Strong quantitative foundation. SQL fluency is expected and not delegated. Comfort with cohort analysis, funnel instrumentation and experiment design.
  • Experience in consumer fintech, commerce, mobility, or on-demand at scale in India. Exposure to Tier 2 and Tier 3 users is a significant advantage; instincts built on metro-affluent products do not transfer cleanly.
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline from a reputed institute, or an MBA from a reputed institute.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and limited supervision. This role assumes you will find your own problems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication. You will be explaining the business to leadership and to your team on a weekly cadence.
  • Working knowledge of analytics and lifecycle tooling (Mixpanel, Amplitude, CleverTap, Data Studio or equivalent).

What makes us different?

We’re not just building a product—we’re shaping the future of savings in India. We seek people who bring passion, energy, and fresh ideas to help us make that happen. Experience matters, but we are a potential first organisation. We move fast, learn from our mistakes, and take bold risks to solve problems that haven’t been attempted before. If you’re excited about working in an environment where people inspire and truly support each other, you’ve found the right fit.

What do we stand for?

The five values that we live by :

Passion: At Jar, we strive to create an environment where people love what they do, are motivated and equipped to do their best work.
Equality: We bring diverse skills, ideas, and experiences to the table, supporting and challenging each other across teams to create something bigger than ourselves.
Growth: When our people grow, Jar grows. We create opportunities for learning, development, and meaningful impact.
Accountability: The core of our work ethic is taking ownership of our work, showing initiative, and having the freedom to ask questions.
Consistency: We believe in doing the right things consistently. Big change doesn’t happen overnight, it’s built one step at a time.

Join us and let’s build something amazing together!
