As the Global L&D Innovation Director, you will lead the innovation engine within BCG's Global Learning & Development Strategy & Transformation Office. Reporting to the Global L&D Strategy & Transformation Senior Director, you will run a ringfenced innovation team focused on identifying, prototyping, and PoC testing the next generation of online learning experiences for BCG.

BCG's L&D model is evolving to deliver faster, more personalized, data-informed, and AI-enabled upskilling in support of BCG's 2030 strategy. You will be a critical leader in making that roadmap real, helping stand up the innovation team and tech squad, pilot adaptive learning, develop agentic learning prototypes to scale new products and experiences over time.

You will lead work across three connected domains:

Innovation portfolio management - shaping the intake, prioritization, sequencing, governance, and delivery discipline for a portfolio of high-priority L&D innovation initiatives
Experimentation and product development - leading the development and validation of new audience-facing learning experiences, products, formats, and AI-enabled solutions
Implementation and scaling - partnering across L&D, Talent, IT/Product, and business stakeholders to move successful pilots into durable products, programs, platforms, or operating routines

The work will include experimentation with AI tools, AI workflows and automation for L&D internal transformation, and prototyping and piloting of agentic and adaptive learning experiences aligned to the 2030 L&D strategy. You will help BCG shift from slower, programmatic learning cycles toward rapid upskilling in short cycles - weeks, not years - particularly for emerging business needs and technical skills.

Experience leading teams in complex, global, matrixed environments, with a strong track record of coaching, developing, and mobilizing talent

Experience in designing innovation with scale in mind, anticipating the technical, integration, and operating requirements needed to move successful pilots into production and enable a smooth handover to Product and IT

Strong technology literacy, including comfort working with AI-enabled tools, digital products, workflow automation, learning platforms, or data-enabled solutions

Your direct leadership scope will include the ringfenced innovation team responsible for developing and validating new learning experiences, products, formats, AI-enabled workflows, and agentic/adaptive prototypes. Additional info

YOU'RE GOOD AT-

Taking ideas from concept to implementation - You can start with an ambiguous business or learning need, shape the problem, define the opportunity, mobilize the right people, test a technical solution, and evaluate what is needed to drive adoption and scale.
Running a high-quality innovation portfolio - You bring structure to fast-moving work. You can manage intake, prioritization, resourcing, stage gates, decision rights, dependencies, risks, and handoffs without slowing the team down.
Leading agile, multidisciplinary teams - You know how to lead teams that may include a mix of learning designers, product owners, technologists, data and analytics colleagues, AI specialists, vendors, and business SMEs. You create clarity, energy, accountability, and momentum.
Applying technology and AI pragmatically - You are tech literate and curious. You do not need to be an engineer, but you can engage credibly with technical teams, understand what AI and digital tools can and cannot do, and translate emerging capabilities into usable learning solutions.
Building solutions that are learner-centered and business-backed - You can connect business goals to skill needs, translate those needs into learning experiences, and keep outcomes at the center of the work.
Collaborating across a complex ecosystem - You can operate in a global, matrixed environment and build strong partnerships with L&D Business Partners, Learning Architecture, Product and Operations, Talent, HR, IT, Product, and senior business stakeholders.
Managing stakeholders with confidence and judgment - You know how to shape demand, negotiate tradeoffs, communicate progress, surface decisions, and keep stakeholders aligned across seniority levels and functions.
Experimenting with discipline - You are comfortable with rapid prototyping, piloting, feedback loops, and iteration, but you also know when to stop, pivot, scale, or hand off.
Leading people through ambiguity and change - You build trust, coach teams, manage performance, and help people do excellent work in a space where priorities, tools, and expectations are evolving quickly.
Translating innovation into adoption - You understand that a successful prototype is only valuable if it is used. You think ahead about change management, communications, enablement, measurement, and integration into existing workflows.

At BCG, our people and relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that in-person collaboration plays an important role in our culture, mentorship, and professional development.
