GEM Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Nursing department in Chennai. This full-time, on-site position is available across our ward, Emergency Room (ER), Gynecology Ward, and ICU units. We offer a competitive monthly salary in the range of ₹20,000 - ₹30,000, along with valuable hands-on experience in diverse clinical environments. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in ward, ER, Gynecology Ward, and ICU settings
Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Assist doctors during procedures, examinations, and emergency interventions
Coordinate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Operate and monitor medical equipment such as ventilators, defibrillators, and infusion pumps
Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families
Maintain hygiene, infection control, and safety protocols within the unit
Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies in the ER and ICU
Ensure proper handling and inventory management of nursing supplies and medications
Collaborate with senior nurses and unit in-charges to maintain high standards of care

- Valid nursing registration with the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council is preferred
- 2-5 years of relevant clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency in handling ER, ICU, ward, or gynecology nursing procedures
- Strong knowledge of patient care protocols, infection control, and medication administration
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends as required
- Basic proficiency in using electronic health records and nursing documentation tools
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
