About Sarvam

Sarvam is building the bedrock of Sovereign AI for India. The company is developing India's full-stack sovereign AI platform, building across research, models, infrastructure and applications with a singular focus on making AI genuinely work for India. Sarvam works with leading enterprises and public institutions and is backed by Lightspeed, Peak XV, and Khosla Ventures. Sarvam partners with India's leading brands, including Tata Capital, SBI Life, CRED, IDFC, and LIC.

About the Role

These are not form-and-table frontend roles. The frontend engineers on this team build the interfaces that sit on top of Sarvam's AI stack in some of the most demanding environments in the country. You will own the frontend layer of multiple 'atoms' — replicable, deployable product components — and work closely with backend engineers, the PM, and the deployment team. These interfaces must work in offline-first, low-bandwidth, hardened client environments, not just on a MacBook over broadband.

What You'll Do

• Design and build performant, production-grade frontend interfaces for strategic sector and enterprise AI use cases: geospatial overlays, simulation UIs, natural language access layers, ontology viewers, data ingestion dashboards, and complex enterprise workflows

• Own the frontend layer of atoms end-to-end — from component architecture to deployment in client-embedded environments

• Collaborate with backend engineers and the PM to ship complete, scoped atoms into the hands of real users

• Build for constrained environments: offline-first, low-bandwidth, limited hardware — not the idealised development environment

• Contribute to shared frontend infrastructure: component libraries, design system, and state management patterns

• Participate in field testing and client feedback loops with Strategic Deployment Engineers across strategic sector and complex enterprise accounts

What We're Looking For

• 3–6 years in frontend engineering with shipped, production-grade products

• Deep React proficiency; TypeScript; modern CSS (Tailwind or equivalent); strong component architecture instincts

• State management proficiency: Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or equivalent; strong async data patterns

• Data visualisation experience: https://jobeax.com/link/iK3oFfMD52XZxB5V, Mapbox/Leaflet, https://jobeax.com/link/2C8VafPcTql6r5Zz for geospatial, Recharts, or equivalent — at least one in production

• REST and WebSocket API integration; sufficient backend awareness to debug across the boundary

• Performance engineering: bundle optimisation, lazy loading, and rendering performance in low-resource environments

Bonus Points

• WebGL or https://jobeax.com/link/Pi6fhUbEHsz2QAyA for 3D visualisation

• Electron or desktop app experience

• Offline-first or PWA architecture

• Prior work on dashboards, command-and-control UIs, or complex enterprise tooling

Note: We are looking for people who can own the outcomes described here, not people who

match every line of this specification. If this problem excites you and you believe you can do this work, we want to hear from you.

Why Sarvam?

Sarvam is a fast-moving, high talent-density team building full-stack AI for India, working on problems that push the frontiers of AI with real population-scale impact.

• Work alongside researchers, engineers, builders, and business leaders who move fast and hold each other to a very high bar

• High ownership and high impact, from day one

• Everything we do is AI-first, from the way we build and ship to the way we think about problems

• You can work on problems that could change how an entire country learns, works, and communicates

If you want to work on problems at the frontier of AI in India, Sarvam is the place to be.
