Finance Manager (Management Accounting) in Mumbai, India

Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with the organization's mission, goals, and objectives.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide regular reports to the executive team and Board of Directors.
Financial Management and Compliance: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
Manage relationships with auditors, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions.
Risk Management and Internal Controls: Identify financial risks and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and mitigate financial risks.
Manage financial aspects of grants and contracts, including budget development, reporting, and compliance.
Financial Sustainability and Growth: Work with the executive team to develop strategies for financial sustainability and growth.
Explore opportunities for diversifying revenue streams and maximizing financial resources.
Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Mentor and develop finance staff, supporting their professional growth and development.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA or CA preferred.
Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in the NGO sector.
Strong understanding of nonprofit financial management, including fund accounting, grant management, and compliance.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals.
Effective communicator with the ability to present financial information to diverse stakeholders.
