Analyzes and manufactures complex components using machine tool equipment. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. Delivery Fully proficient setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, grinders and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment to machine parts to specifications. Instructs and coaches others and acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience. Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks. Line Coordinator with hands-on experience in CNC machining operations, particularly in HMC/VMC machining lines. The role involves coordinating shop floor activities, ensuring production targets, maintaining quality standards, with High Safety Standards in Cylinder Head and Cylinder Block machining lines.
Coordinate daily operations on machining lines (HMC/VMC) for Cylinder Head and Cylinder Block components.
Ensure achievement of production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Allocate and manage manpower efficiently across the machining line.
Monitor machine utilization, downtime, and overall line efficiency (OEE).
Ensure proper machine setup, tool changeovers, and adherence to processes.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure in-process quality checks and compliance with inspection standards.
Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production planning teams for seamless operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, QSBE).
Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and documentation.
Strong experience in CNC machining (HMC/VMC operations)
Knowledge of Cylinder Head & Cylinder Block machining processes
Understanding of production planning, line balancing, and OEE
Familiarity with cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters
Knowledge of quality systems and lean manufacturing practices
Education & Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering
- Experience in automotive manufacturing industry
- Exposure to engine component machining lines
- Experience in team handling / coordination role
