Experience Centre Manager

About Bewild

Bewild, an extension of the parent company Beforest, is a sustainable food brand catering to conscientious consumers. We pride ourselves on sourcing products from large-scale permaculture farms, ensuring a diverse range of wild and natural produce reminiscent of a forest's bounty. Our offerings span various categories, including Specialty Coffee, Native Rice Varieties, Pulses, Millets, Spices, Spreads & Condiments, Seasonal veggies and fruits. With our commitment to diversity, quality, and a loyal consumer base, Bewild is positioned to lead the charge in providing sustainable, healthy food options to the market.

The Beforest Experience Centre brings this philosophy to life as a physical space - a café, a merchandise zone showcasing Bewild's produce, and a community area for events and gatherings - as part of the Experience Centre initiative launching in November 2026.

This is an on-ground, guest-facing role at a café that operates through the week, including weekends.

· Shift: 9 hours/day.

· One weekly off, on a weekday (not Saturday or Sunday, since these are peak café days).

· Working on a government/public holiday earns one additional day off (comp-off).

Role Overview

The Experience Centre Manager owns the day-to-day running of the entire Experience Centre - the café, the merchandise zone, and the community space - as a single, unified guest experience. This is a hands-on operational leadership role combining the discipline of restaurant/café management with the polish and merchandising standards of a luxury retail store.

Key Responsibilities

· Own end-to-end daily operations of the café, merchandise zone, and community space, ensuring smooth, consistent service across all three.

· Drive sales and manage the P&L for the centre - budgets, cost control (COGS, labour, wastage) and monthly financial reporting to leadership.

· Recruit, train, schedule, and performance-manage the on-ground team (senior baristas, junior baristas, housekeeping staff).

· Set and maintain guest-experience standards across café service, retail merchandising, and community programming, in line with Beforest's brand and storytelling.

· Manage inventory and vendor relationships — stock levels, ordering, quality checks, and wastage control.

· Maintain luxury-retail-grade visual merchandising and product display standards in the merchandise zone; train the team on product knowledge and cross-selling Bewild's range.

· Coordinate events, workshops, and programs hosted in the community space.

· Ensure compliance with food safety (FSSAI), hygiene, licensing, and health & safety protocols.

· Oversee cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily/weekly/monthly operational reporting.

· Handle guest escalations and complaints directly and resolve them on the spot.

· Act as the primary on-ground liaison with Bewild's central operations, marketing, and supply chain teams.

· Support other departments and cross-functional teams as needed.

Requirements

·6-10 years of total experience, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial/supervisory role in restaurant, café, or QSR operations, or in luxury retail store management.

· Demonstrated experience owning a P&L, managing inventory, and leading a team of 6 or more.

· Strong people-management, training, and scheduling skills.

· Comfortable with POS and inventory-management systems.

· Excellent communication skills; proficiency in English and Telugu/Hindi preferred (Hyderabad-based role).

· Graduate in any discipline; a degree/diploma in hospitality or hotel management is a plus.

· Genuine interest in food, coffee, and sustainable/regenerative agriculture is a strong plus.

· A genuine commitment to going above and beyond for every customer.
