About the Role
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Executive / Senior Executive to manage and coordinate purchase pricing, sales pricing, quotations, price masters, and pricing-related ERP/SAP activities.
You will work closely with the Purchase, Sales, SCM, Finance, Warehouse, and Management teams to ensure approved pricing is accurately maintained, updated, communicated, and reflected in the ERP/SAP system.
The ideal candidate will have strong Excel, analytical, coordination, follow-up, and commercial skills, with experience in pricing, purchase coordination, sales operations, commercial operations, or master data management.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Price Coordination
Coordinate with the Purchase Team and suppliers to obtain purchase price quotations.
Collect, verify, and maintain supplier price lists, quotations, and price revisions.
Check part numbers, descriptions, currencies, MOQs, validity, delivery terms, and other commercial conditions.
Compare new purchase prices with existing prices and identify variances.
Prepare purchase price comparisons and analyses for management approval.
Update the Price Master with approved purchase prices and maintain supplier quotation and approval records.
Follow up with suppliers on pending or revised quotations.
Sales Price Coordination
Coordinate with the Sales Team on sales quotations and customer pricing requirements.
Prepare and update sales quotations based on approved pricing, customer requirements, and commercial terms.
Verify sales prices against the approved Price Master.
Coordinate special pricing, customer-specific pricing, and price revisions with the Sales Team.
Update the system with approved selling prices and track quotation validity and expired prices.
Price Master Management
Maintain and control the Purchase and Sales Price Masters, including accurate mapping of part numbers, suppliers, customers, purchase and sales prices, currencies, effective and validity dates, MOQs, and terms and conditions.
Update prices only after obtaining the required approvals, and maintain supporting documentation and approval records for every revision.
Review the Price Masters regularly to identify duplicate, outdated, or incorrect pricing.
Ensure system pricing remains aligned with the approved Price Masters.
Price Revisions and Change Control
Coordinate price changes arising from supplier revisions, customer negotiations, exchange-rate changes, raw-material price changes, or other commercial factors.
Prepare price change analyses showing old prices, new prices, and variances.
Obtain approval from authorized personnel before implementing price changes.
Communicate effective dates of price revisions to the Purchase, Sales, SCM, and Finance teams.
Monitor transactions processed at old prices and coordinate corrective action, including CN/DN or price adjustments where applicable.
Quotation Management
Maintain a systematic database of purchase and sales quotations and their history for audit and future reference.
Track quotations through the process: Received → Under Review → Approval → Price Master Update → Released.
Prepare and release quotations within agreed timelines, following up with internal teams on pending approvals.
Ensure quotations contain accurate commercial terms and validity periods.
SAP / ERP Coordination
Update approved purchase and sales pricing in SAP/ERP.
Verify that system pricing is correctly reflected in purchase orders, sales orders, and invoices.
Coordinate with SAP/IT/SCM teams to resolve pricing-related system issues.
Support testing and validation of pricing changes during SAP system updates or process enhancements.
Document pricing-related master-data changes.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with:
Purchase: Supplier pricing and purchase quotations.
Sales: Customer pricing and sales quotations.
SCM: PO/SO and order processing.
Finance: Invoice price differences and CN/DN.
Warehouse: Material and part-number verification, where required.
Management: Price approvals and exceptional pricing.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of purchase and sales pricing.
Experience preparing purchase and sales quotations.
Strong MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data analysis.
Working knowledge of SAP/ERP preferred.
Strong numerical and analytical abilities, attention to detail, and data accuracy.
Strong follow-up, coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple pricing activities simultaneously.
Understanding of commercial terms, currencies, and price variances.
Preferred Experience
Experience in a trading or distribution environment and hands-on exposure to SAP are preferred.
