Job Summary: Responsible for managing end-to-end import activities, ensuring timely clearance, documentation, compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end import processes, from purchase order/shipment initiation to customs clearance and delivery.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and transporters.
Prepare and verify import documentation including Bill of Entry, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO , etc.
Monitor shipment status, ETA, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT requirements, and applicable import procedures .
Coordinate with Finance/Accounts for duty payments, vendor payments, and import-related documentation.
Track and maintain import shipment records, reports, and MIS.
Resolve documentation, customs, logistics, and shipment-related issues.
Monitor import costs, freight, customs duty, and other related expenses.
Ensure timely receipt of materials at the plant/warehouse.
