Abbott's Commercial Enablement team seeks a Data Engineer to design and maintain production data pipelines serving sales, CRM, and market data for pharmaceutical field operations in India. The role combines technical ownership with direct stakeholder engagement, supporting dashboards, incentive calculations, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines from sales, CRM, HR, and external sources
• Design and operate commercial data models with accurate history tracking across organizational changes
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerts to prevent errors in payouts and leadership reviews
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies, identify root causes, and maintain production system reliability
• Document systems and processes for knowledge transfer and team continuity

Requirements

• 2–4 years of data work with at least one year building or maintaining production pipelines
• Strong SQL including window functions, CTEs, and query optimization
• Python for data transformation and validation
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud data platform
• Dimensional modeling knowledge: star schemas, grain, slowly changing dimensions
• Git version control and familiarity with testing and deployment practices
• Batch pipeline production experience
