Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by continuously monitoring and investigating various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying issues, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation across multiple platforms. The position demands vigilance and adaptability to swiftly address challenges that may arise, contributing to the overall stability and reliability of critical services within the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
Document findings and solutions clearly to support knowledge sharing within the team.
Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for system monitoring and incident management.
Support junior team members by sharing expertise and providing guidance when needed.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering.
Strong understanding of system architecture and infrastructure components.
Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.
Ability to automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency.
Familiarity with monitoring tools and alerting systems.
Skilled in troubleshooting complex software and hardware issues.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
This position is based at our BDC14A - STPI office.
A 15 years full time education is required.
