JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Purpose

The CAPEX Procurement Engineer will manage end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement activities for Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and project-related requirements as per our plant need. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of machinery, equipment, civil works, and engineering services in line with project timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End CAPEX Procurement: Lead the sourcing and procurement process for machinery, plant equipment, spare parts, construction services, and technical engineering contracts.

• Tender & RFQ Management: Prepare, float, and manage Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Conduct rigorous commercial and technical evaluations.

• Vendor Management: Identify, pre-qualify, and onboard international and local vendors. Maintain healthy supplier relationships and evaluate performance against KPIs.

• Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, payment schedules, and legal clauses to achieve optimal cost savings and risk mitigation.

• Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, and plant operations to ensure alignment on specifications, budgets, and deadlines.

• Compliance & Logistics: Ensure all procurement practices adhere to company policies, local KSA regulations, import/export laws, and customs requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Professional Experience: 4 to 6 years of proven experience in CAPEX procurement, strategic sourcing, and project procurement handling.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project management principles. Expertise in SAP or other ERP procurement modules.
