Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Software Test Engineer III in Bangalore to perform comprehensive manual and automated testing of software applications. The role involves developing test scenarios, executing functional and integration tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality and adherence to requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scenario-based manual testing to identify defects and ensure quality standards
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts based on project requirements
• Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing activities
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Python
• Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6-9 years of software testing, verification, and validation experience
• Strong proficiency in scenario-based manual testing methodologies and techniques
• Expertise in test design techniques including boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and exploratory testing
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Playwright automation with Python experience preferred; ISTQB certification a plus
