Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an experienced electrical engineer to lead printed circuit board assembly design and risk mitigation for medical and scientific instruments. The role involves designing electronics, managing cross-functional projects, and mentoring junior engineers within the R&D organization.
Responsibilities
Design and optimize PCBA circuits while driving risk mitigation strategy
Develop schematics and design documentation including DFMEA and requirements traceability
Conduct electrical and regulatory testing; verify performance against specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design reviews and compliance requirements
Mentor team members and coordinate with suppliers on manufacturing and functional testing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
10+ years of proven electrical engineering experience
Proficiency with circuit design and simulation tools
Strong knowledge of digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics
Experience with regulatory compliance and testing standards
Ability to mentor and lead technical teams independently
