Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an Engineer II, Hardware to lead printed circuit board assembly design and risk mitigation within a global R&D team. This hands-on electrical engineering role focuses on new product development, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration in a standard office environment.
Responsibilities
Drive PCBA risk mitigation strategy and execution for electronics commodities at product level
Design and verify digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics schematics meeting technical requirements
Develop design documentation including HLD, DFMEA, and verification plans for design reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory, safety, thermal, and interface compliance standards
Coordinate with sourcing and suppliers on manufacturing requirements and functional circuit testing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
6+ years of proven professional experience in electrical engineering
Strong understanding of electrical and electronics engineering fundamentals
Proficiency with circuit design and simulation tools
Ability to manage low to medium complexity projects independently
Experience with schematic design and regulatory compliance testing
