Seeking a Camera Electronics Engineer with deep expertise in mixed-signal electronics and a solid system-level understanding of imaging sensors in spacecraft and radiometric applications, to lead the design of focal plane subsystems for high-resolution Earth observation payloads.
KaleidEO, a subsidiary of SatSure, is an upstream leader in Earth Observation, building a full-stack company from India. As an 'analytics-first' payload innovator, we specialize in building next-gen, high-resolution, multispectral payloads with edge computing and wide coverage capabilities.
Rooted in SatSure's legacy of building applications across sectors like Utilities, Agriculture, Aviation, BFSI, and Climate Action, we also provide end-to-end EO solutions, from payload development and launch to mission operations and data analytics.
At KaleidEO, we are shaping the future of Earth Observation and putting Indian space tech on the global map. If you thrive on challenges and are passionate about pushing the boundaries of image processing, this is your calling!
Define technical specifications for focal plane arrays (FPAs), including CMOS/CCD/TDI detectors for electro-optical payloads, based on mission requirements.
Own the architecture and performance of the detector subsystem: including readout electronics, signal conditioning, and interfacing with the main electronics system.
Collaborate with optical, system, and electronics engineers to ensure the payload meets MTF and SNR performance targets.
Translate radiometric and image quality requirements (e.g., dynamic range, noise, saturation albedo) into hardware and configuration parameters.
rolling shutter operation, etc.
Analyze the impact of spacecraft AOCS (Attitude and Orbit Control System) performance — such as jitter and smear — on payload image quality.
Support test and calibration campaigns to validate focal plane performance in the lab and during environmental qualification.
Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Physics.
~2–3 years of experience with imaging sensors and focal plane electronics (space or high-performance industrial cameras).
Experience with CCD/CMOS sensor technologies and their use in industrial or space-based imaging systems.
Strong background in analog/digital mixed-signal circuit design, preferably including sensor front-ends, power regulation, and timing logic.
Strong understanding of EO/IR performance metrics (e.g., Experience in collaborating with optics, system engineering, and firmware teams.
Knowledge of satellite-level systems engineering, payload interfaces, and mission CONOPS.
Experience designing or analyzing space-qualified imaging payloads, including electronics and opto-mechanics.
Medical Health Cover for you and your family including unlimited online doctor consultations.
That's why we offer Maternity, Paternity, Marriage and Bereavement Leave, so you can be there when it matters most.
Dedicated allowances for learning and skill development.
