Responsibilities
Manage bioinformatics programming staff including hiring, performance evaluation, and professional development
Oversee resource planning, utilization rates, and personnel allocation across department projects
Provide project oversight and consultation on clinical trial projects; review project-related documents
Develop departmental business plans, budgets, and bids; ensure regulatory and ethical compliance
Participate in FDA meetings and long-range strategic planning for investigational and marketed drugs
Requirements
MS/MA in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or related field; or bachelor's degree with equivalent qualification
Minimum 12 years of experience in related field demonstrating required knowledge and skills
Preferred: 12+ years clinical trial experience as statistical programmer
Preferred: 5+ years leadership experience
Advanced SAS programming skills and strong understanding of database structures
Extensive knowledge of clinical trials and regulatory standards
Superior staff management, communication, and decision-making abilities
