GE HealthCare seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the Bengaluru organization developing Cardiovascular Ultrasound digital products for on-premises and cloud environments. The role encompasses engineering delivery, product lifecycle management, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bengaluru engineering organization including hiring, performance management, and talent development
• Own engineering scope, architecture, execution, and lifecycle management for CVUS Digital Viewer product
• Deliver products across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployment models with focus on scalability and security
• Drive modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, and release automation
• Ensure compliance with medical-device software, design-control, and cybersecurity requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 15+ years software product development experience with 5+ years functional leadership
• Proven success developing and releasing commercial digital products across on-premises and cloud
• Strong expertise in modern software architecture, cloud services, distributed systems, APIs, CI/CD, DevSecOps
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop engineering teams and lead through global matrix structures
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
• Medical-device or regulated healthcare product development experience preferred
