About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Type and format books, manuscripts, magazines, and other publication material in English and Hindi.
2. Handle Hindi Unicode typing and formatting with accuracy.
3. Prepare print-ready files according to publishing and printing specifications.
4. Design and format pages, covers, illustrations, tables, and other publication elements.
5. Make corrections and implement editorial/proofreading changes accurately.
6. Coordinate with editors, proofreaders, and the production team to meet deadlines.
7. Check documents carefully for formatting, alignment, spacing, fonts, pagination, and other DTP-related errors.
8. Maintain consistency in layouts and styles across publications.

Who can apply

Other requirements

1. Excellent English and Hindi typing skills.

2. Good command of CorelDRAW, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop.

3. Strong understanding of page layout, typography, fonts, styles, pagination, and print production.

4. Knowledge of Unicode Hindi fonts and Hindi typesetting.

5. Good attention to detail and accuracy.

6. Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines.

8. Prior experience in a publishing house, printing press, or book production environment will be preferred.
