GE HealthCare seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and validate mechanical components and assemblies for medical device products. The role involves cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept through manufacturing and post-launch support.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, validate, and support mechanical components and subsystems for new products and sustaining engineering
  • Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and tolerance studies to inform design decisions
  • Collaborate with Systems, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams on integrated solutions
  • Plan and execute V&V activities to demonstrate performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance
  • Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation per established standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years mechanical design and product development experience
  • Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering mechanics
  • Experience creating and reviewing engineering drawings per standards
  • Hands-on prototype development, testing, and design iteration experience
  • Knowledge of Verification & Validation planning and execution
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
